In a dedicated padlock feature, some 18 different padlocks were tested for strength and endurance from attack. 2 awards were at stake - Auto Express Best Budget Buy and Auto Express Best Buy.

The Squire closed shackle 39CS won Best Budget Buy award. This particular padlock scored highly because of the three shoulders that protect the 9mm steel shackle - adding significant time and noise penalties to any would be thief.
