Charging

How long does the charge last on my inigma lock?

Charge lasts dependent upon usage, but with average usage approximately 3 months.

How do I charge my inigma lock?

Your app will warn you when charge is running low. Whilst unlocking, if the battery is low, the app will read “Access Granted - Low Battery”. The LED on the lock will flashes yellow when it needs to be charged.

To charge, connect the device to a power source – either a plug socket or a portable powerpack -  using either

  • the charging unit and plug that comes with the lock, or
  • with any USB to MicroUSB cable and power source.

The LED will slowly flash RED whilst charging is underway. When charging is complete it will be steady red. The device can be operated whilst charging and can also be charged from portable USB power sources. A full charge will take around 2 hours to complete.

How do I know if my lock needs charging?

Your app will warn you when charge is running low. Whilst unlocking, if the battery is low, the app will read “Access Granted - Low Battery”. The LED on the lock will flashes yellow when it needs to be charged.

What happens if my lock runs out of charge when my lock is in use?

As your app and lock will warn you when charge is running low, this situation shouldn’t arise. In the unlikely circumstances that you find that your lock has run out of charge whilst in use you will need a portable power source and a USB to Micro USB cable.

How long does it take inigma to charge?

A full charge should take less than 2 hours. If the lock is completely flat a “juice bar” or other external USB battery pack can be connected which will allow immediate access to the lock – it will charge the battery but also allow it to be opened straightaway.

Battery life is approximately 5 months with normal usage (for example regular use of up to 4 times a day). External factors such as cold weather can affect charge so the estimated battery life will depend upon usage and environmental factors.

Battery takes approximately 2 hours to fully recharge, though if you are out and about and your lock was out of charge, as soon as you have connected it to a power source you will be able to gain access.

What happens if I lose my phone or my phone
is out of charge?

If your phone runs out of charge then charge phone

If your phone is lost or stolen, borrow a phone, download the app and log into your account.
